GlaxoSmithKline, Centre for Drug Research and Development pharmaceuticals news

GlaxoSmithKline partnered with the Canadian not-for-profit Centre for Drug Research and Development to form two funds to provide project-based investments for health research in Canada. GSK and the center will form the GSK-CDRD Innovation Fund to provide funding to early stage research conducted by CDRD in collaboration with its academic investigators. The second fund is a JV with CDRD Ventures Inc., the center's commercial arm. Research projects selected by the JV will be partially funded by the pharma and conducted or managed by CDRD Ventures, with the goal of commercializing the technology and resulting IP.
