TLIO cut an additional 42 positions, leaving the company with 35 employees, primarily in the areas of R&D and general and administrative functions. TLIO, which had pared its staff from 138 to 80 in November, said it has taken longer than expected to secure financing or a strategic partner.

The San Diego company said it will not continue efforts to secure contract manufacturing. TLIO will continue to seek a strategic partner or significant equity investment, and is pursuing the possibility of sub-letting substantially all of its facilities. ...
