The Emeryville, Calif., company has discovered antagonists to the urokinase receptor, which are potential candidates for controlling tumor cell invasion. As published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the agents were found by displaying random peptide sequences on bacterial phages, and screening for binding to the urokinase receptor.
