AHA, ADA partner with industry to launch diabetes, cardiovascular disease initiative

The American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association partnered with Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH (Ingelheim, Germany), Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE:LLY) and Novo Nordisk A/S (CSE:NOVO B; NYSE:NVO) to launch a 3.5 year initiative to help people with Type II diabetes reduce their risk of disability and death due to cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.
