AZ gets NASH candidate from Ionis

AstraZeneca plc (LSE:AZN; NYSE:AZN) exercised an option to obtain worldwide rights to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) antisense candidate IONIS-AZ6-2.5-L_{Rx (AZD2693)} from Ionis Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:IONS). Ionis will receive $30 million from AstraZeneca and is eligible for up to $300 million in development and regulatory milestones, plus tiered royalties up to the low teens.
