Stanford, Takeda, partner for drug discovery

Stanford University (Stanford, Calif.) and Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (Tokyo:4502) are forming the Stanford Alliance for Innovative Medicines, or Stanford AIM, to accelerate commercialization of therapeutic discoveries made in the university's labs.

The partners will begin taking proposals in October, and will jointly select the first round of projects by early next year...
