Invitae acquiring CombiMatrix and Good Start

Genetic testing company Invitae Corp. (NYSE:NVTA) said it is acquiring two diagnostic companies.

Invitae will acquire reproductive health diagnostics company CombiMatrix Corp. (NASDAQ:CBMX) for $27 million through the sale of 2.9 million Invitae shares. CombiMatrix provides miscarriage analysis and genetic testing using single nucleotide polymorphism chromosomal microarray analysis and next-generation sequencing.
