Doliage, Nicox deal

Nicox acquired French ophthalmic play Doliage for EUR5 million ($6.2 million) in newly issued Nicox shares. Nicox said the acquisition is part of its strategy to develop an ophthalmic commercial infrastructure in the five major European markets. Doliage markets Euronac, an N-acetylcysteine solution for corneal healing, and Tobrabact, an ocular antibiotic. Nicox said Doliage had EUR2.6 million ($3.5 million) in revenue for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2013. Nicox had EUR4.5 million ($5.7 million) in sales for the nine months ending Sept. 30.
