IBM Corp., Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center deal

IBM and the center will collaborate to develop an outcome and evidence-based decision support system for oncologists that uses the computational power and language processing ability of IBM's computer IBM Watson. The center's oncologists will work with IBM to create the tool using a patient's medical information, clinical knowledge, molecular and genomic data, and cancer case histories, along with treatment guidelines and published research. The tool will also provide users with a detailed record of the data and evidence used to reach the recommendations.
