Emcure, Roche deal

Roche said it partnered with Indian pharmaceuticals company Emcure to manufacture certain Roche biologics, including cancer drugs MabThera rituximab and Herceptin trastuzumab, in India. Roche said the partnership will increase product access in India to patients who pay out of pocket as well as patients covered through government reimbursement by making both original and second brand products available.

Roche also said it may expand the deal in the future to include additional Roche products and/or developing markets, and that product pricing will depend on negotiations with the Indian government. Details were not disclosed. ...
