Addex preclinical data

In a rat model of PD, 3 and 10 mg/kg ADX88178 significantly reduced time of catalepsy induced by haloperidol, a generic antipsychotic, vs. vehicle-treated controls (p<0.05). High-dose ADX88178 led to a reduction in catalepsy time that was similar to reference control L-dopa. Additionally, 3, 10 and 30 mg/kg ADX88178 plus L-dopa significantly improved motor performance as measured by a forelimb akinesia assay vs. L-dopa alone (p<0.001). ADX88178 as a monotherapy did not improve motor performance. Data were published in the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
