How TCGA’s Pan-Cancer Atlas could drive the use of molecular classifications to treat cancer

A collection of 29 papers published across a suite of Cell journals in April by The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) consortium completed the Pan-Cancer Atlas -- a comprehensive analysis of molecular signatures across cancer types. The consortium hopes the Atlas will be used to guide the use and development of cancer treatments based on molecular signatures rather than tissue-of-origin.
