A cut-free gene editing tech for point mutations gets an upgrade

As improvements to CRISPR-based gene editing continue apace, a Harvard University leader in the space has produced an updated version of a technology he described only a year ago for accurately generating point mutations without cutting DNA.

In a paper published in Nature Communications, a team led by Harvard professor David Liu -- a co-founder of gene editing company Editas Medicine Inc.
