How Camp4’s computational platform identifies druggable targets that control disease genes

By mapping all of the signaling pathways and transcription factors that control the expression of every gene in a cell type of interest, Camp4 Therapeutics Corp. is betting its machine learning-based platform will be able to identify druggable targets that can control gene expression without the need for physical target screening.

According to CEO Josh Mandel-Brehm, many genetic diseases could be treated by adjusting the expression levels of the mutated gene or a compensatory one. But finding the right target to achieve the desired gene expression change can be tricky due to the complex and dynamic nature of transcriptional regulation.
