Editas raises $120M in series B

Genome editing company Editas Medicine (Cambridge, Mass.) raised $120 million in a series B round led by new investor bng0, a firm that represents multiple family offices including those of Bill Gates. Other new investors included Deerfield Management; Viking Global Investors; Fidelity Management & Research; funds and accounts managed by T. Rowe Price; Google Ventures; Jennison Associates; Khosla Ventures; EcoR1 Capital; Casdin Capital; Omega Funds; Cowen Private Investments; and Alexandria Venture Investments.

Existing investors Flagship Ventures; Polaris Partners; Third Rock Ventures; and Partners Innovation Fund also participated. ...
