CRISPR-engineered bacterial payload acts as antibiotic

A New York University School of Medicine team has proposed a new type of antibiotic that turns Staphylococcus aureus against itself by genetically engineering the bacteria’s pathogenic payloads to deliver antibacterial cargos.
