New stable macrocycles for peptide therapeutics

In a paper published in Science, University of Washington researchers used computational design to identify over 200 peptide macrocycle structures that form stable scaffolds on which therapeutics can be constructed. The team, led by David Baker, said the structures greatly expand the number of available unbound peptide macrocycle structures for drug design.
