Researchers suggest GPX4 inhibition to treat drug-resistant cancer

In a paper published in Nature, researchers at the University of California San Francisco and colleagues showed that persister cells from a range of cancers depend on glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) for survival, suggesting that inhibiting GPX4 could help treat several drug-tolerant cancers.
