BRICS health ministers partner against TB

The health ministers of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa agreed to collaborate to develop capacity and infrastructure to reduce the prevalence and incidence of tuberculosis, including multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). The ministers said they would support development of new drugs, vaccines and diagnostics, and also promote consortia of researchers to collaborate on trials of TB products. The ministers also said they would collaborate to improve the availability of TB drugs by "improving supplier performance, procurement systems and logistics" and to improve the management of HIV-related TB in primary care. ...
