Organ-on-chip play Emulate raises $28M

Emulate Inc. (Boston, Mass.) raised $28 million in a series B round. The company plans to expand its Organ-Chip portfolio and commercialize its Human Emulation System.

New investors included OS Fund, Atel Ventures, and the non-profit ALS Finding a Cure Foundation. Participating existing investors included Hansjorg Wyss, the founder of the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering; NanoDimension; and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
