AcelRx raises $41.4 million in follow-on

AcelRx Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:ACRX) raised $41.4 million through the sale of 12.5 million shares at $3.31 in a bumped-up follow-on underwritten by Jefferies; Cowen; and Canaccord. On Wednesday, AcelRx amended its follow-on and said it planned to sell 10 million shares. Last month, the company proposed to raise up to $25 million in the offering.
