Alimera raises $30 million, amends Medidur FA deal

Alimera (Alpharetta, Ga.) raised $30 million in a series C round. Existing investors Venrock Associates; BA Venture Partners; Domain Associates; Intersouth Partners; and Polaris Venture Partners participated in the round. Alimera will use the financing to acquire a majority stake in Medidur FA from partner pSivida (ASX:PSD; NASDAQ:PSDV) and to fund the remaining product development.
