Management tracks: Gottlieb joins Aetion board; plus Alexion, Encoded, PhRMA, Rgenix, Lyra, twoXAR and Innoplexus

Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb has joined the board of real-world evidence company Aetion Inc. Gottlieb was a champion of integrating real-world evidence into product development during his tenure as commissioner, and Aetion was one of the agency’s partners on RWE initiatives. In April, FDA expanded a partnership with the company to use its platform and healthcare claims data to predict safety and efficacy outcomes of seven ongoing clinical trials (see “Aetion, Brigham and Women’s Partnerships Will Inform FDA RWE Standards”).

Paul Clancy will step down as EVP and CFO of Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:ALXN). Chief Strategy and Business Officer Aradhana Sarin will succeed Clancy in the role after the filing of the company's 3Q19 results. Clancy will remain with Alexion as a senior adviser through mid-2020. ...
