Management tracks: Roche veteran Chen joins Everest, CBC Group; plus G1, Rani

Everest Medicines Ltd. (New York, N.Y.) hired Wende Chen as chief commercial officer. He will also serve as an operating partner at CBC Group (formerly C-Bridge Capital), the company's founding investor. Chen was VP of corporate affairs, market access and channel management at the Chinese unit of Roche (SIX:ROG; OTCQX:RHHBY). CBC established Everest in 2017 to in-license small molecule programs from the West and develop them in China or elsewhere in Asia.

G1 Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:GTHX) said CFO and SVP, Corporate Development Barclay Phillips has stepped down to pursue other opportunities. He is succeeded as CFO by VP, Finance Jennifer Moses. The announcement comes as the cancer company gained $4.33 (21%) to $25.02 on Friday, adding $162 million in market cap, after it disclosed late Thursday that it has "accelerated our development activities" of G1T48 and expects to report Phase I breast cancer data for the oral selective estrogen receptor degrader in 3Q19, ahead of its previous 4Q projection...
