Management tracks: Pfizer, Hansa

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) hired Amrit Ray as global president of Pfizer essential health, R&D, effective Friday. He was SVP of external affairs at Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ). In his new role, Ray will be responsible for Pfizer's essential health portfolio of medicines including anti-infectives, biosimilars and sterile injectables. He succeeds Sumant Ramachandra, who left in June. Ray served as senior medical director at Pfizer's R&D and Medical affairs division from 2002 to 2006.
