Huya Bioscience International LLC (San Diego, Calif.), which is developing oncology and cardiovascular candidates sourced in China, named John Ratliff president and CEO. He replaces founder and CEO Mireille Gillings, who will continue as executive chair of its board. Ratliff was president and COO at Quintiles Transnational Holdings Inc. (NYSE:Q).

Synthetic biology company Intrexon Corp. (NYSE:XON) hired Philip Gioia as chief commercial officer in its health sector and said COO Krish Krishnan and SVP of Product Development Suma Krishnan have left the company. Gioia was executive in residence at Warburg Pincus LLC (New York, N.Y.). SVP of Finance Joel Liffman will lead Intrexon's operating divisions. ...
