Tumor suppressor RUNX1 and FLT3-ITD induces AML

In a paper published in The Journal of Experimental Medicine, European scientists showed that tumor suppressor runt-related transcription factor 1 (RUNX1) works cooperatively with FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3; CD135)-internal tandem duplication (ITD) mutations to induce acute myelogenous leukemia.
