Guided Therapeutics, Konica Minolta Holdings Inc. deal

Konica Minolta's Konica Minolta Opto Inc. optics unit extended by one year to 2012 a previously extended 2009 deal to use Guided Therapeutics' LightTouch technology to co-develop and market non-invasive diagnostics for lung and esophageal cancers. Konica Minolta will pay Guided Therapeutics a $750,000 fee for the extension. Additionally, the parties extended a 2010 deal to co-develop the first product to detect and monitor Barrett's esophagus, a type of esophageal pre-cancer.
