Speciality European Pharma, Praecis, Proreo Pharma International AG deal

Speciality acquired Proreo for an undisclosed amount of cash. The deal gives Speciality Cortirel corticorelin, a diagnostic marketed in Germany to test pituitary-adrenal function, and rights to Haemopressin terlipressin outside of North America. The synthetic analog of lysine-vasopressin is approved in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Korea, Pakistan, Switzerland and Taiwan to treat bleeding esophageal varices. Orphan Therapeutics LLC (Lebanon, N.J.), which owns North American rights to terlipressin, expects to submit a rolling NDA to FDA to treat Type 1 hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) next quarter. ...
