MON said the Circuit Court of the First Judicial District of Bolivar County, Mississippi, granted its request for partial summary judgment by eliminating a basis for DPL's claim for compensatory damages related to lost stock market value following the failure of the companies' planned merger in 1999. In January 2000, DLP sued MON seeking unspecified damages, including lost stock market value of about $1 billion.
