Guerard succeeds Baldwin as Opthea’s CEO
Plus: Montai hires its first CMO and an update from Resilience
Opthea Ltd. (ASX:OPT; NASDAQ:OPT) hired Frederic Guerard to succeed founder and CEO Megan Baldwin, who will become chief innovation officer. Opthea also hired Peter Lang as CFO. Guerard was CEO of Graybug Vision Inc.; Lang was CFO of Aerie Pharmaceuticals Inc. Opthea, which is backed by Carlyle and Abingworth, added that the changes reflect its strategy to advance its U.S. and global presence — both Guerard and Lang are based in the U.S.
Montai Health Inc., which is mapping the bioactivity of known molecules already consumed by humans as food, supplements or herbal medicines, hired Christian Antoni as its first CMO. Antoni was chief development officer at EQRx Inc. (NASDAQ:EQRX) and SVP global development at Leo Pharma A/S. ...
