In the latest sign that neuropsychiatric drug development could finally be poised for an upswing, the U.K. has launched a mental health task force that, like the region’s COVID-19 task force, which was widely viewed as a success, aims to accelerate therapeutics development.
Dubbed the U.K. Mental Health Mission, the task force is one of seven “critical healthcare missions” for which the U.K. government has decided to use its COVID experience as a blueprint to work collaboratively with industry, the NHS, academia and medical research charities. ...
