NTEG said that a review of pilot clinical data using LifeGuide showed at least one circumstance in patients with rapidly rising and falling glucose levels in which glucose levels in blood and ISF significantly differed. In such circumstances, NTEG said that patients who rely solely on ISF glucose readings may make incorrect therapy decisions.
