Siegall resigns as Umoja chair

Umoja Biopharma Inc. said Clay Siegall will resign from its board, effective immediately. Siegall’s resignation comes a day after he took a leave of absence as chairman, president and CEO of antibody-drug conjugate developer Seagen Inc. (NASDAQ:SGEN), a company he co-founded in 1998. Siegall denied recent allegations of domestic violence at his home. A committee formed by Seagen’s board and an independent law firm is conducting an investigation.
Moderna Inc. (NASDAQ:MRNA) is looking for a CFO to replace David Meline once again now that the biotech has parted ways with Jorge Gomez. Moderna introduced Gomez as Meline’s successor last month, effective Monday, May 9. The biotech said Gomez’s departure follows the disclosure Tuesday of an investigation at his former employer, Dentsply Sirona Inc. (NASDAQ:XRAY), into matters including financial reporting.
