Citing ‘clear scientific evidence,’ AZ seeks to reassure jittery Europe on vaccine’s safety

Germany is the latest EU country to suspend the rollout of COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca amid concerns over thromboembolic events even as the U.K. pharma contends “clear scientific evidence” that the numbers are in line with the expected background rate of such events and EMA says there is no evidence of a link between the events and the product.
