Data Bytes: latest data from Moderna and J&J probe age differences in COVID-19 vax response

Clinical data from Moderna and J&J unveiled over the last week add to the picture of how age influences response to COVID-19 vaccines, and the findings suggest both companies’ candidates induce similar neutralizing antibody titers in younger and older adults.
Updated results from Moderna Inc. (NASDAQ:MRNA), published in New England Journal of Medicine Tuesday, were consistent with preliminary data released in August: neutralizing antibody titers following immunization with mRNA-1273 were similar across trial participants aged 18-55, those aged 56-70 and those over 71 (see “Moderna's COVID-19 Vaccine in the Elderly”). ...
