NIH taking action on racial disparities in Alzheimer’s research 

The National Institute of Aging (NIA) aims to address racial disparities in Alzheimer’s disease research by creating four new centers dedicated to investigating the disease in underrepresented populations.

NIA will provide $13.6 million over three years to fund the four Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers (ADRCs), whose goals span answering basic research questions about disease mechanisms to increasing recruitment of minority groups to clinical trials. ...
