ACMI, formerly Alamar Biosciences Inc., settled its civil action with Difco. Alamar sued Difco and Difco's Pasco Laboratories subsidiary in 1994, alleging that the companies had misappropriated Alamar's trade secrets pertaining to its bacterial susceptibility and identification technology, and that Difco breached a confidentiality agreement with Alamar (see BioCentury Dec. 5, 1994). ...
