Oral Panretin 9-cis-retinoic acid data

Researchers reported at the International Society of Hematology Conference in Stockholm that durable remissions have resulted from treatment in both newly diagnosed and relapsed patients with APL. A total of 4 of the 12 relapsed patients had complete remission, as did 4 of the 5 newly diagnosed patients in the Phase I/IIa trial.

Of the relapsed patients attaining remission, 3 had previous treatment with all-trans retinoic acid. Median time to complete remission was 51 days, with remission duration ranging from 10 to 21 or more months in the newly diagnosed patients (and continuing in 3 of these 4). ...
