Kennedy endorses McClellan nomination

Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) said Monday that he will support the nomination of Mark McClellan as FDA Commissioner. Speaking at the conclusion of a confirmation hearing, Kennedy told McClellan "I intend to support your nomination," and that the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee, which Kennedy chairs, will vote on the nomination on Oct. 9.
