Coley raises $30 million

Coley Pharmaceutical (Wellesley, Mass.) raised $30 million in a private round led by Thomas, McNerney. Other investors included Venrock; TVM Techno Venture Management; and Global Life Science Ventures. An additional $5 million tranche is expected to close within the next month. James Thomas of Thomas, McNerney; Anthony Evnin of Venrock; and Christoph Schroder of JSB Partners will join Coley's board.
