Italian biotech incubator launched

Bioindustry Park Canavese (Turin, Italy) launched its Discovery program to house, train and fund selected startups. Index Ventures; Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partner; and Merlin Biosciences will help select startups. The program will provide each startup with EUR 24,000 ($29,182) for initial expenses and equipment. Eporgen Venture, a local seed fund, will provide an additional EUR 3 million ($3.6 million) for development support for the first 24 months.
