Chiron Fluviron shipment delayed

CHIR said that shipments of its Fluviron influenza virus vaccine will be delayed until early October pending the outcome of release tests, because the company identified a small number of lots that do not meet product sterility specifications. The company now expects to ship 46-48 million doses of Fluviron for the 2004 flu season instead of the previously announced 50 million doses.
