Democrats attack Bush on flu vaccine

Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) are blaming President Bush for flu vaccine shortages. In television advertisements and campaign statements, Kerry charged that the Bush administration has "ignored" repeated warnings over the last three years "of the need to take action to avert a disastrous vaccine shortage."

Kennedy said in a statement that "Under George Bush's watch, FDA stood idly by as problems in vaccine production went unchecked." ...
