AHRQ to hold comparative effectiveness symposium

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality will hold a symposium on June 1-2 to discuss methods for conducting comparative effectiveness research. Speaking at Friday's meeting of AHRQ's National Advisory Council, Jean Slutsky, director of AHRQ's Center for Outcomes and Evidence, said the June symposium will have two main focus points. The first is how to improve the inclusion of heterogeneous patient populations in both comparative and clinical effectiveness studies.
