New Deepbridge Innovation Fund targeting $250M

Deepbridge Capital and asset manager SL Investment Management launched the Deepbridge Innovation Fund (DBIF) to invest in life sciences, "eco-innovation" and software, with a target of $250 million. The partners said the fund will target "earlier stage opportunities and companies that have a proven technology but have yet to achieve certain commercial success necessary to secure more traditional or institutional growth capital." DBIF plans to invest about 60% of the fund in the U.K. and elsewhere in Europe, about 30% in the U.S. and Canada, and the remaining 10% elsewhere. Eco-innovation encompasses: energy, such as power generation and energy conservation technologies; advanced materials, such as nanotechnologies and structural composites; and water. ...
