Sirion, Sytera merge

Ophthalmic companies Sirion (Tampa, Fla.) and Sytera (La Jolla, Calif.) merged to form Sirion Therapeutics Inc. (Tampa, Fla.). Sytera shareholders will receive an undisclosed amount of stock and cash up front, plus development and commercialization payments.
