Mendel named GenMark’s CEO; plus SutroVax, Illumina, Arrowhead, Tessa and more

GenMark Diagnostics Inc. (NASDAQ:GNMK) said interim president and CEO Scott Mendel will now serve in those roles full-time. He joined the company as CFO in 2014 and became COO in 2019. The diagnostic company’s PCR-based SARS-CoV-2 test was granted Emergency Use Authorization by FDA in March.

SutroVax Inc. hired Andrew Guggenhime as CFO and CBO. He was CFO of Dermira Inc., which Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE:LLY) acquired for $1.1 billion in January.
