FDA commissioner nominee Hahn sidesteps questions on importation, new approval standards

Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) announced Wednesday that he plans to fast-track confirmation of Stephen Hahn as FDA commissioner. The committee will vote on Hahn's confirmation on Dec. 3 and the full Senate could vote before the end of the month.
