Roche taps Lilly exec Garraway for CMO, product development post

Roche (SIX:ROG; OTCQX:RHHBY) has tapped Levi Garraway, formerly SVP of oncology R&D and and Lilly Research Laboratories Novel Target Research at Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE:LLY), as CMO and head of global product development. Garraway, who will begin on Oct. 1, succeeds Sandra Horning, who is retiring at the end of the year after a decade with Roche and Genentech Inc.

Unlike Horning, Garraway is a relative newcomer to the industry. Prior to joining Lilly in January 2017, he was an associate professor of medicine in the department of medical oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, as well as an associate physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
